What is a “bucket”? Basically it is a metal frame that you can install in the body of your car or truck that will allow you to install a taillight that was made for a different car. Auto and truck customizers will often install Cadillac taillights for their stylish look. You need to get a custom “bucket” to fit these lights into your vehicle. You may also need filler panels to complete your project.

Custom car builders will often use tailgates or rollpan bumpers to make their cars look smoother. This is sometimes called shaving. You will see trucks and cars with their bumpers removed and replaced with a roll pan to make the lines of their ride cleaner. Sometimes they will cut custom designs into the bumper or tailgate and place the lights behind them for a completely custom look.

Sometimes custom car builders will “bag” their vehicles. This refers to adding airbag suspension to the car or truck. Then the drive can control the height that the car rides. With these air bag kits you can lower your vehicle all the way to the ground when parked. This extreme kind of bagging will obviously require extensive modification to the vehicle, even cutting of the frame sometimes. With some airbags you can even make the car “jump” off the ground by bouncing the front up and down in sequence. You will see this done at car shows and incompetitions.
